Balungi means beautiful or well in Luganda, Uganda, which is where my parents are from.

In 2019 I lost my mother. I was looking for a purpose and wanted to make her proud. Since I was a little girl, I was always into beauty. I would watch my mom in the mirror put on her lip glosses, or lipstick and be in awe. So I started Love Balungi in my dining room.

Love Balungi is an ode to the woman who continuously inspires me. Love Balungi is for everyone. We all deserve to love and feel beautiful.
